Synarc is the world leader in centralized medical-imaging services
for global multicenter studies of Alzheimer’s disease and other
neurodegenerative diseases, including vascular dementia.
We provide a full range of imaging markers, as well as centralized, independent
confirmation of subject diagnoses prior to study commencement. In addition, we fully support all global sites, regardless of location. Our highly experienced neurology team is composed of neurologists, neuroradiologists, MRI physicists, image-analysis technicians, and program and project staff with extensive understanding of what it takes to succeed in a global neurology study. Let us bring our insights to your next endeavor.
Rigorous site qualification and training
Our thorough site-qualification procedures ensure that study sites
have the staff, equipment, and support necessary to perform imaging
protocols throughout the investigation. Synarc provides extensive,
hands-on training in image acquisition and data transfer to help ensure
the delivery of standardized, high-quality, and reproducible readings.
Rigorous and ongoing quality control
Image-acquisition quality control is maintained by continual verification
of image quality, including absence of motion and other artifacts,
appropriate contrast and resolution, phantom equipment monitoring,
and monthly monitoring of quality-control metrics.
Specialized measurement of brain atrophy
in Alzheimer’s disease
Quantifying progressive brain atrophy is essential in identifying drugs
that slow the rate of neurodegeneration of Alzheimer’s disease.
Quantitative longitudinal measurements of the rate of brain atrophy
using structural MRI are not affected by changes in brain function,
and therefore provide specific measures of neurodegeneration and
brain atrophy.
Exclusive regulatory compliance
Synarc neurology software is validated and meets FDA requirements for
use in drug trials. It is the only 21 CFR Part 11 compliant system of its
kind available for MRI analysis in Alzheimer’s disease trials. In addition,
Web-based image transfer provides immediate delivery of images to
Synarc from sites worldwide.
