Synarc Announces Additions to Senior Management Team

San Francisco, CA. – October 17, 2005 - Synarc, Inc. the world’s largest central
radiology service announced that Steve Kahn and Aaron Timm have joined their senior
management team. The company, which provides innovative medical imaging and
molecular marker services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies for clinical
drug trials, closed its fiscal year 2005 with record revenues and currently has a backlog of
over $100 million dollars.
Steve Kahn has been appointed as the Vice President of Project Management.
Steve brings to Synarc 26 years of experience in the drug development services and
health care industry. Prior to joining Synarc, Steve was the Senior Director of Business
Development at Covance where he was responsible for the strategic design of studies.
He has also helped in developing and maintaining pricing and strategy models, and
writing proposals. He has held various positions at Covance as their Executive Director
of Operations including Data Management and Biometrics and previous to that Director
of Medical Research.
Aaron Timm has joined as Vice President General Counsel and Secretary. Prior
to joining Synarc, Aaron was Vice President and General Counsel at Vitria Technology,
Inc. a publicly-traded software company where he was responsible for managing the
company’s worldwide legal affairs, including issues related to corporate governance,
securities compliance, commercial licensing, litigations, and patents. Aaron has also
worked with both private and public companies as an associate in the corporate
department of the law firm of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. He is a graduate of
Harvard Law School and holds a BSFS from Georgetown University and a member of
the California State Bar.
