		Yves Miaux, M.D., M.Sc. Advisory Medical Director

Dr. Yves Miaux is a board-certified Radiologist and is an Advisory Medical Director at Synarc. Dr. Miaux oversees the Radiology Services Group and ensures that the group provides effective and efficient reading services according to Synarc standard operating procedures, GCP specific requirements, and global standards for all therapeutic areas. He also manages the development and optimization of computer-assisted reading systems and provides technical and clinical radiological consultation on image reading to Sponsors during protocol development, scope-of-services negotiations and throughout the active period of the study.

Dr. Miaux is also a technological and medical innovator of a simple laser guidance system for CT-guided procedures and the first available preoperative placements of localization hook-wire into pulmonary nodules before thoracoscopic resection. He also helped developed a device that is equipped with a safety valve, allowing insufflating of air under controlled pressure. The device has been in use since 1988 in the department of pediatric radiology (Bicetre Hospital, Paris, France) for reduction of childhood intussusception.

Prior to Synarc, Dr. Miaux was the Visiting Associate Professor in Radiology at University of California San Francisco and Associate Professor at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris, France. He also served as an Assistant Professor at Paris University, Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris, France and Paris University, Saint-Louis Hospital, Paris, France.

Dr. Miaux received his medical degree from the Paris VI University, in Paris, France. He also holds a Masters Degree in Medical Imaging at Paris V at XI University in Paris, France and Masters Degree in Physics from Montreal University in Montreal, Canada. He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters, participated in peer-reviewed scientific publications, and lectured and presented at various scientific meetings.
