Yan Chen, M.D., is a board certified radiologist with medical imaging experience in muscular skeletal, neurological and breathing systems. She is also responsible for providing expert validation of medical images readings such as radiographs, MR scans, and CT scans.
Previously, Dr. Chen accomplished her Postdoctoral Research with the Osteoporosis & Arthritis Research Group, Department of Radiology, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). At UCSF, she focused on medical imaging for clinical trials for vertebral morphometry on spine x-rays, health aging and body composition (Health ABC) and Framingham osteoarthritis knee MRI studies. Prior to that, she was a Visiting Fellow with the Department of Radiology at UCSF. Her research work included projects in quantitative computed tomography for osteoporosis, comparison of semi-quantitative and quantitative technique for assessment of osteoporotic spine fracture.
Dr. Chen received her medical doctorate from Beijing Medical University, China and completed her residency at the Department of Radiology at ShouGuang Hospital, Beijing, China. She has also completed certification for medical degree to practice medicine, privileges for attending physician, Associate Chief Physician, and permit to operate MR and CT.
