Technical Writer
Synarc, the world's leading pharmaceutical service organization dedicated exclusively to global clinical trials is currently seeking a Technical Writer for their corporate headquarters in downtown San Francisco, CA.
Position Description:
The Technical Writer works with Engineering and cross-functional team members to edit and write a diverse scope of technical documents where analysis of data and situations requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined processes and practices to determine the best methods to obtain solutions, and to meet internal software lifecycle requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and proof-read system requirements, system design and validation documents, user and installation guides
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, style, and format of documents
- Develop templates, processes, and checklists for document review and feedback
- Adhere to Synarc (Standard Operating Procedures) SOPs; contribute to SOP updates and new SOPs
- Work closely with project team members for accurate document content
- Ensure that documents are reviewed, signed, dated, and archived properly
- Maintain established document control system for Synarc audit requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree: English, Communications, Computer or Science related field preferred
- Experience/Skills: 2-5 years of experience in writing and editing technical engineering documents; especially user requirements and user guides; experience interviewing users and developers to gather needed information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate ideas, in text and graphical format, in a clear, concise manner
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines in dynamic environment
