Tech Writer 1
The Technical Writer I works with Engineering and cross-functional team
members to edit and write a defined scope of technical documents where
analysis of data and situations requires review of identifiable factors. Exercises
judgement within established processes and practices to meet internal software
lifecycle requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and proof-read system requirements, validation documents, user and installation guides
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, style, and format of documents
- Provide input into templates, processes, anad checklists for document handling
- Adhere to Synarc SOPs; provide feedback on new and updated SOPs
- Maintain document revision control
- Work closely with project team members for accurate document content
- Perform other tasks as directed by manager
Qualifications:
- Education
- Undergraduate Degree: English, Communications, Computer, or Science related field preferred
- Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in writing and editing technical documents
- Skills
Requred technical skills and knowledge include:
- Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Adobe Acrobat Professional (PDF) or similar program
Desirable skills include:
- Visio
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or other regulated industry
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate ideas, in text format, in a clear, concise manner
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Must be self-motivated, and also have the ability to work both
- Independently and contribute in a team atmostphere
