Senior Scientist - Medical Imaging

Synarc currently has a position open for a Senior Medical Imaging Scientist with extensive expertise in MRI in our Newark, CA office. This position presents unique opportunities to apply your medical imaging experience and scientific knowledge in a clinical trial environment in particular in Synarc's rapidly growing neurology and musculoskeletal programs. Synarc is looking for a scientist able to exploit the possibilities of the innovative MRI and nuclear imaging modalities in world-wide multi-center clinical trials and to guide the development of novel quantitative image analysis techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Combining advanced imaging and image analysis techniques to develop new endpoints in clinical trials
• Working with Synarc's staff radiologists, physicists, software engineers, and operational specialists on study design, protocol development, and data analysis in imaging clinical trials
• Collaborating with pharma and academic specialists in the application of medical imaging to clinically and scientifically important questions
• Providing technical support to study imaging centers throughout the world
• Training imaging personnel at clinical sites throughout the world

Qualifications:

Education:

• PhD in Science or Engineering

Experience:

• At least 5 years of postdoctoral experience in Medical Imaging.

Skills:

• Extensive Theoretical and practical knowledge of MRI
• Multi-platform experience (GE, Philips, Siemens) is highly desireable.
• Strong organizational, inter-personal, and team skills.
• Familiarity with other medical imaging modalitis such as CT, digital X-ray, PET, etc.
